How did you get involved with Still Serving? I decided to partner with “Booch” to provide more opportunities to Veterans and military family members to not only come to work for Still Serving Promos, but also have the opportunity to have a vested interest in the company. We also wanted to have 100 percent decision making on which charities we would support and the only way to have this capability was to own the company.
Favorite pastime or hobby: Golf – even though I am a novice, I love the game. Also, you will laugh but I truly enjoy Pokeman Go!
Why are our Veterans and their families so important to you? Because they serve freely. All are important in my life, but the dearest are the children who have lost a parent – they will always be the most important to me and I firmly believe we can never do enough for them.
If you have served or have a family member who served, what branch? United States Air Force Retired and served in the Persian Gulf War. I am 90 percent disabled, sport 2 artificial hips (thank you U.S. Army Medicine).

How did you get involved with Still Serving? Scoop and I were running NCOA Marketing Company and some things came to fruition that prevented us from growing any further. So, we combined our efforts and formed Still Serving Promos with the full intent to continue were we’d left off; Proudly Still Serving, and paying it forward.
Favorite pastime or hobby: From a young age I’d always loved being outside and to hunt; and I still do today. Now, I get to hunt in a different capacity a few times a year with Wounded Warriors, great Veteran owned non-profits, and have the pleasure to call them friends. I do love my hobby!
If you have served or have a family member who served, what branch? United States Army; I’ve Served in OIF, OEF & OND.
Current City: Mid-West
How did you get involved with Still Serving? I have known Scoop and Booch for several years through going to similar events and we have been good friends. I decided to jump on board with them because of what they stand for and because I was looking for a new career venture since my children are getting older and I was a stay-at-home mom. It was important to have a career that was more than just a job.
Favorite pastime or hobby: Spending time with my family; Crafting
Why are our Veterans and their families so important to you? Veterans and their families make the ultimate sacrifice and I want to give back in any way I can! That’s why I love this company, it gives back to those people directly.

Hometown: Chipley, FL

How did you get involved with Still Serving? I served in the same National Guard unit as Booch and he knew that I worked full-time for the Public Affairs Office and was looking for something meaningful on the civilian side. He recommended me to Scoop, the original PAO guru, and I’ve been working with them ever since.
Favorite pastime or hobby: Writing is my true passion. While keeping up with a growing family, I don’t have a ton of extra time to crank out novels, so instead I write freelance for a local magazine and read every decent fiction work I can get my hands on.
Why are our Veterans and their families so important to you? The military community has a culture all their own. Veterans and their families have given up more and lived with less than many American can ever understand. I feel like we as a nation need to do more to show our respect and gratitude for them.
If you have served or have a family member who served, what branch? My husband and I are both Army. I have deployed twice to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn. My father also retired from the Army after 20+ years.

How did you get involved with Still Serving? It all started with a flamingo. Scoop tapped me for some freelance graphic work with Still Serving’s previous incarnation (the job was a special design for a tropical-themed event) and I’ve been along for the adventure ever since.
Favorite pastime or hobby: Drawing. Not even my 10th grade math teacher could break me of the habit, though she tried her best.
Why are our Veterans and their families so important to you? I grew up overseas, surrounded by military families, only to come “home” to the States and find that our Service members and veterans are largely invisible to the civilian eye. Our Veterans and their families are important to me because our Veterans and their families are my family, are my friends, and family sticks together.
If you have served or have a family member who served, what branch? I’m proud to say that both of my parents have served, both in the Army.

How did you get involved with Still Serving? We met Scoop and Booch when our grandchildren and daughter-in-law came to Snowball Express the first time and saw the amazing work they do for the families of the fallen. At SBE this year when they said they needed a bookkeeper, it was the perfect opportunity for me to give back to Veterans and Gold Star Families.
