Hookin Veterans is a nonprofit organization 501 (c)(3), founded in 2019 by U.S. Army Specialist (Ret.) Tyler Jeffries. After losing both of his legs after being hit by an IED in Afghanistan and suffering multiple injuries, Tyler spent years recovering from his injuries. He found himself alone and in need of the camaraderie he experienced in the military. That gave him the idea to create a nonprofit organization that would bring other injured veterans together every year for a fishing trip in Florida and along the East Coast
Since 2006, the mission of Gary Sinise Foundation has been a simple, yet profoundly important one: Providing hope and new happy memories to the children of military fallen heroes who have died while on active duty since 9/11. Each year, Snowball Express (a Gary Sinise Foundation Program) brings children together from all over the world for a four-day experience filled with fun activities, like sporting events, dances, amusement parks and more.
Operation BBQ Relief is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in May 2011 in response to a need for tornado relief efforts in Joplin, Missouri. Competitive pitmasters from nine different states answered the call to feed displaced families and first responders. Together, they were able to serve over 120,000 meals in a 13-day period. This experience of building a network to feed individuals in need has been the inspiration for Operation BBQ Relief. To date, Operation BBQ Relief has provided over 9 million meals throughout the United States and internationally following natural disasters, COVID-19 response, and through The Always Serving Project, benefiting the homeless, first responders, veterans, and members of the military.
Airpower Foundations Sky Ball is the premier fundraising event for one of the oldest military support organizations in the U.S., the Airpower Foundation. Sky Ball has allowed the Airpower Foundation to contribute solely to funding projects that directly support the members and families of all branches of our military, veterans and wounded, ill or injured service members and their families. And we continue to “Answer the Call”.
